MEMORIAL FUND
About Us
The Sheikh Gebrael Geha Memorial Trust Fund was established in 2015 by Sheikh Gebrael Hanna Geha’s (1865-1944) children and grandchildren to commemorate and continue his loving legacy by providing financial assistance to worthy students at Bishmizzine High School who come from financially disadvantaged families.
Every year, 6 students are granted scholarships to aid and encourage them in achieving the best of their competencies to create a better future.

What People Say About Us
Some people make choices that change lives. Thank you for being one of them.
I am really pleased and grateful to be one of the recipients of the Sheikh Jebrael Geha Memorial Fund Scholarship.
I am deeply appreciative of your unconditional support. Your generosity has inspired me to help others achieve their goals just as you have helped me and to give back to the community.
I believe that this scholarship will also encourage me to strive harder to maintain good grades and achieve my goals.
Thank you for your generous and thoughtful support.
Lynn Alagha (Grade 9 student at BHS)

I aspire to maintain this scholarship and help others motivate themselves to achieve their goals.

“Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.” H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
I’m really thankful for the generous gift that you had given me. Your donation has motivated me to continue my hard work and accomplish my goals.
I’m also really grateful that you have decided to help me in my journey; the money couldn’t have come in a better time.
Charbel Tabet (Grade 9 student at BHS)
I would like to genuinely thank you for the generous and considerate scholarship you have granted me. In the midst of the hardships we are facing in Lebanon, you have truly given us hope with your acts of kindness and generosity. You have given me the opportunity to continue pursuing my education and prioritizing it above all in my life.
More importantly, you have reminded us that knowledge is the most powerful tool of all, and through it we are able to achieve our goals and dreams. One day, I hope I’ll be able to pay it forward and support this school which has nourished me and instilled in me the positive moral values I need to excel in my journey.
I would like to thank you again and express my honest gratitude.
Sary Shdeed (Grade 9 student at BHS)
Mother Teresa once said, "Your true character is most accurately measured by how you treat those who can do nothing for you." You assisted us during these harsh situations and spread kindness without any reward, that alone is inspiring, caring, and encouraging. Your generosity has indeed made a difference in my life. It is surely going to push me forward in my life to pursue my dreams. I pray and hope that one day I can aid those in need.
In short, thank you will never be enough, and I'm grateful to have experienced this opportunity.
Myriam Bechara (Grade 12 student at BHS)
“It’s easier to take than to give. It’s nobler to give than to take. The thrill of taking lasts a day. The thrill of giving lasts a lifetime.” I am writing this letter to express my deep gratitude and sincere feelings for your support. I am very thankful for being chosen to receive your scholarship. Definitely, this will motivate me to put even much greater effort to achieve my goals.
Your kindness and giving will always be appreciated. Besides, it will be a reminder that one day I would do the same.

Leila Faris Shaheen (Headmistress of School)
Thanks God, the school (BHS) is in good shape thanks to its staff and friends who helped a lot in keeping the school where it is now. Thanks a lot for you hisham, for Akram for your mom and for Tante Korine because you are always with us, keeping the school always in your mind and helping whenever you feel help is needed. With your last generous contribution we were able to help 36 needy families ( Names were chosen by Tante Korine and Madam Mona Geha with the help of the school admin.) in paying the tuition fees of their children. This is a big number never done before, from the date I was member of BHS School Committee (2003).”
